| Once again, you show that you don't know shit about television. It is well-known that 704 Hauser Street is where Fred and Wilma Flintstone took up residence. The episode that you reference was when The Great Kazoo left his Fruity Pebbles in Fred's lunch box. Sheeesh. | |

| Look, dipshit, it was NOT the "Great Kazoo." It was "Ballantine the Great" -- the alter-ego of "McHale's Navy" co-star Carl Ballantine. And right before he started his beer company, JACKASS!! | |

| Stop..............You're both wrong.
704 Hauser St. was where Rob and Laura Petrie lived. Although they slept in separate beds Rob and Laura somehow managed to have a son Richie who inexplicably was almost never home. Their wacky next door neighbors were a Chiropractor and his wife who for some reason looked 15 years older than the rest of them. Rob worked in Manhattan writing song parodies for the "Allen Sherman Show". Got it now?

Is it true that Carl Ballantine is Paul Schaefer's father?

That's the guy from the McNeil/Lehrer Report, right? Nope. 'Twas he and the rest of his Lehrer Brothers that caused the collapse of the entire economy. I just never knew that he lived in New Rochelle.

| Since clothier is "away on assignment" (like they always say when some TV newsperson isn't on the job) I would like to fill in and mourn or (since he was 94 years old and had a great run) celebrate Les Paul. Unlike Betty Crocker and Aunt Jemima, the man whose name graced all of those amazing guitars really did exist. He was a fine musician but even moreso a true electronics visionary, pioneering multi-track recording as well as electric guitar technology. Here's a newspaper article that tells more about this real musical visionary. | |

I'd like to join pow in, at least for once, take a break from all things snarky to mention that I, too, will miss Les Paul. That said, I find it a tad sexist that not a single obituary to-date has mentioned just how good his wife's fish sticks were.

Personally, I'm hoping that one of them is this, his daughter:
