today clothier is truly saddened by the loss of Ernie Harwell, world class gentleman, Hall of Famer, and the voice of the Tigers, and the voice of my childhood.

I met him once when I was a kid, and I tell the same story everyone who ever met him tells: he looked you right in the eye, called you by your name, and made you feel like you were the most important person in the world.

One would imagine that death by clothier would be a slow, lingering death.

And in one of the worst segues of all time, I feel clothier's pain on the death of Mr. Harwell. A class act guy (Harwell....not clothier) and a fine baseball announcer, which in my mind is truly an art form. I totally get clothier's "voice of my childhood" statement, as Mel Allen and Red Barber were mine. How great both of these guys were is amplified by the fact that they were the Yankees' announcers and I hate that team.
