| Contrary to popular belief, I don't post about every movie I see (only the really bad or really good) but has anyone else seen?: I loved it. Great stylistically. Wonderful pacing. Very good cast. Poignant. Phenomenal soundtrack. Anyone else? Bueller?? | |

I almost lost love a few times, but their lawyers always found me. Seems like this movie might bring back bad memories.

I assume that this comment results from her appearance on "Top Chef Masters". And While I would never have any serious interest in a woman who doesn't eat the meat (if y'know what I mean????????) I thought she was actually quite charming (in a freakin' vegan weirdo kinda way) on the show. That said, Zooey's sister Emily (who plays the title character on "Bones") is still the favored Deschanel in POW-ville. Emily (left) and Zooey (right)

| Any of you douchelords yet seen either "Up in the Air" (George Clooney) or "It's Complicated" (Alec Baldwin/Steve Martin/Meryl Streep)?
I've seen them both. Loved the former (great dialogue). In fact, it reminded me a lot of the Jack Nicholson gem, "About Schmidt." The latter was not as good although Alec Baldwin is phenomenal and there's a great Baldwin / John Krasinski ("Jim" from "The Office") pot smoking scene.
(BTW and, yes, Goddess, I am a card-carrying ageist, please be warned of scenes of middle-aged sex in "It's Complicated." I only bring this up for any of you with weak stomachs.)

| I really enjoyed "Up In the Air" - despite everyone telling me that it was me in the movie. Puhhhh-lease. The only thing we had in common was my striking resemblance to George Clooney.
I did get elbowed every time I made some remark like "hey look...the Detroit airport - love that fountain - ooohhh....wait....American doesn't fly into the McNamara Terminal in DTW." ::SMACK::
And, despite others' claims to the contrary, I really liked the ending.

No, you are not alone. I have considered banning him from this site for that very reason. I have enough reminders that I am a slug and don't need Mr. Fancy Pants 95 making me feel even worse about my inertia issues. You bastard!

Actually, this Albert Brooks-like retort by George Clooney's character and at being called racist because he preferred to get behind Asians when going through airport security (because "they pack light, travel efficiently, and they have a thing for slip on shoes") definitely made me think of you: "I'm like my mother, I stereotype. It's faster."

"I'm like my mother, I stereotype. It's faster." Not bad. I definitely related to that scene flying in and out of Orlando as much as I do. Never get behind old people and never get behind the family with the stroller. It was easier, of course, when MCO had Clear. Then I could just do my "Do you know who I am?" routine and by-pass the line altogether. But, alas....
