Helpful Advice

Since all of you have been so instrumental in making me the person I am today, I figured I'd share a little something I learned today, and hopefully save you some trouble down the road.

If you have a garden, and don't remember what varieties of peppers you planted, biting into them is not a good way to find out which are hot and which are sweet. I bit into a little yellow pepper and was in pain for quite a while.

Don't do this.

I thought that the whole point of having kids was to make them do all the stupid crap that you don't want to do. Have that fearless boy of yours bite into the peppers. It'll put hair on his chest.

I like this thread as I, too, learned something today and that is that I am a wuss.

This was proven late today when -- despite having five tickets to the currently-being-played Washington Redskins (preseason) game versus the SUPER CHAMPION Pittsburgh Steelers -- the weather forecast predicting rain throughout the length of the game resulted in me writing this very post. At 8:35 pm. From home. And dry.
