| Have any of you seen Bruno?
Did you also see Borat?
I can't decide, having seen neither of them, whether or not I think Sascha Cohen in funny.
My take is it's like a dirty version of funniest home videos, making fun of people without them knowing that you are making fun of them.

| Have not, and probably won't, see "Bruno". I resisted seeing "Borat" but finally gave in after so many people predicted that I would love it. It left me cold.
There were certainly a few laughs but the mean-spirited nature of the thing was, to me, anything but funny. The whole Punk'd/Jackass/Sacha Baron Cohen humor thing is truly lost on me.

| Saw Borat. Meh. Won't see Bruno.
However, Sasha Baron Cohen was one of the better things about Sweeny Todd. The best being Alan Rickman, of course. |

The fact that Cohen was good in something is not a shocker. He does appear talented. I just don't dig his love of taking on these personas and then shitting on people in the interest of "exposing" them. Since you are a Rickman lover and a lover of wine I assume that you and the PoolBoy have seen "Bottle Shock". Rickman is great (as always) and the movie is a hoot.

| Borat was an excellent film and I look forward to seeing Bruno. Probably by the week-end. I won't waste my time with a review. |

| Not angry. Just disappointed at being denied the opportunity to read AL's insightful review of "Bruno". | |

Oh I knew you weren't angry, perhaps just hurt...I was referring to Angry Liberal being angry. Hey...wait a minute Angry Liberal is angry? Maybe that has something to do with his name. Ya think?
