| You did tell us, but I'd love to hear it again. I watch it and feel this is a fairly solid season so far. But I do wonder when it's going to jump the shark. |

| In fact, my "friend" really thinks that Kevin James' mustache in that movie makes him look just like Tom Selleck. "Right On, Gay One," I told him in concurrence. | |

I saw the 24 program. It is okay, but I miss the real good shows like TJ Hooker, or Mannix, or MacGuyver, or the A-Team. They were so much more realistic

| OK...I've let this go long enough. If you haven't seen '24' this week, don't look at this thread....
Did Bill Buchanan have to go? Really? He was one of the few folks that I really liked on that show. They did give him the proper farewell - the silent countdown to commercial.
Also, after the ordeal, when Jack was standing there with his hands clenched behind his head, didn't you just know that it wouldn't be long before he was crawling through some rat-infested air duct?

I am not a frequent watcher, but based on discussions here, gave it a look. I was struck by the fact it was so easy to overcome these terrorist dudes who were sophisticated enough to penetrate the white house and kidnap the president. Also noted the fact this show employs the tired old TV trick where the good guy hits every shot, yet bad guys with machine guns can't hit the side of a barn. All that was missing was the minor car collision that somehow manages to make a car flip through the air. As Angus suggests...the A-team seems a far more realistic chronicle of police work.

i'm attached to it at this point, and it's really going to take alot to shake me loose (yes, I finish the books i start as well. i'm almost through all the hardy boys. nancy drew is next), but I fear that 24 has jumped the shark.
I think it crossed over when they brought tony back from the dead.

| After being buried in piles and piles of work for too long to remember now, I am finally getting sick and tired of it and revolting in my own quiet way. Today's way was to discover all of the times that '24' has used the silent countdown since the show's inception.
Season 1: * In the final episode, as the clock ticks towards midnight and Jack holds his dead wife's body.
Season 2: * A dying George Mason steps down as head of CTU and turns the reins over to Tony. * End of the final episode when President Palmer is attacked with a foreign acid-like substance on a glove while shaking hands - and his hand begins to bubble.
Season 3: * Jack utters the phrase "God forgive me" and shoots Ryan Chapelle in the head, execution-style.
Season 5: * Poor Edgar couldn't get into the sealed off room before the gas consumed him. Chloe cried.
Season 6: * End of season - Jack is overlooking Cliff after leaving Audrey and her father.
24: Redemption: * End of movie - Jack flees Sengala with the boys from the school.
Season 7: * Agent Walker, the aforementioned redhead hottie, buried alive after Jack fakes shooting her. * Bill Buchanan's suicide mission to save the hostages in the White House.
As a side note - compiling this list made me realize how much I miss Edgar. He was a good character for that show - and he died a truly memorable death. I guess when they kill off someone, they really know how to do it right.

| So, let's get this straight, shall we?
The First Man has been paralyzed with a nerve drug, and then shot in the chest.
After 6 hours in surgery, he's OK to be in a private room, hold the phone on his own, and talk to his wife?
