My son has had a bit of a cold all week and wanted to stay home from school today. I didn't let him. Not that there would have been anything wrong with that.

I heard on the radio this morning that people are dragging themselves out of ICUs to get in to work today.

How do you figure the economy would be affected by five random people calling in sick in five separate parts of the country?

What strikes me as odd is that as inventive as the Asians have always been with soy, those people never developed any notable type of cheese.

Thats true isn't it? Are there Asian cheeses that I'm not aware of?

They should get off their collective ass over there and come up with some kind of really good cheese. The time is now.

This is the kind of thing that keeps me up at night.

It was just reported that no one showed up for work today at the Packing Dept. of the Russell Stover Fudge manufacturing plant. That's right fellas, due to this "Day Without a Gay" sick-out there was absolutely no fudge packing today.

That's interesting as Pep Boys franchises throughout the country had signs on their front doors stating that they weren't working on rims today.

Rather than start a new thread, I was reminded of this gem this past Friday. One of my co-workers here at the Hall of Justice is still pregnant (we're down to one preggo, from four!). When she called in to tell us that she would not be coming in to work, she said it was because she was uncomfortable in her office chair.

Yes, she was too fat to come to work.

So, while no one around here called in gay, we did have someone that called in fat. And, if this is a valid excuse for not coming into work, I am off to have a six-Twinkie lunch and I am calling in fat the rest of the week.
