So, whatcha having?

We got the seder basics, then old school salad wedges with blu cheese dressing, matzo farfel, asparagas, and some sort of fancy-schamncy leg of lamb, that my mom is being coy about the name that I'll get to you tomm. Sponge cake w/fresh strawberries.

Hag Samaech to one and all.

Happy Passover works just fine. The Jews have suffered enough (you will certainly hear much about this tomorrow night if your hosts read from the Haggadah) to have to deal with goyim attempting to speaking Hebrew.

Since the son is away at college it's just the 3 of us and we are going simple and old school. Gefilte fish, chopped liver, matzoh ball soup, a roast chicken and the wife's chocolate chip mandel bread for dessert.

That's great! As your card points, out matzoh can use all the help it can get from added butteriness and crunchiness.

Our seder is tonight. Is that wrong?

I tried the matzoh buttercrunch. It is meh. But I think it is the matzoh's fault.

Is your "community seder" also an adults-only, clothing-optional event like it is here?

It's actually over at Rabbi Glickman's place. I know he invited Elaine, as she has quite the "shicksappeal."

Wow. You like that show, too. Do you remember the episode where Jerry Van Dyke went for a drive in the car - and it first TALKED to him??? Holy crap. Cinematic genius, right there.

Didn't Jerry VanDyke have the mule that talked?

this was, or course, before he hit it big in Mary Poppins with Mary Tyler Moore.

No, no...you're thinking of Wilbur Mills, the guy who was vice president until he jumped in the Potomac river with Elizabeth Taylor.
