| Or, is it Gore's lack of self-esteem which causes him to be such an arrogant little tampon? Just wondering. | |

Oh man, that deserves some points. I really like that one myself. If we were English do you think it would be proper to call someone a "bloody arrogant little tampon"?

No. You're confusing it with the residence serving as the primary setting in Erich Segal's "Love Story."

| So are all bets off on global warming? Hardly, scientists say. Climate change is a function of long-term trends, not single summers or individual hurricanes.
Last year the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change concluded that it's "unequivocal" the world is warming, considering how 11 of the warmest years on record have occurred in the past 13 years.
I took this from the article, if you would have taken the time to read it, maybe you would have not bothered. |

| global warming?
right.
let's see, a planet that is millions and millions of years old. A species that has been in exsistence for 6000 years. Able to keep an accurate temp record, for what, 150 of those years?
yeah, that makes perfect sense to me. 700 millions years, and less then 1% of that is what we are basing this study on.
Good job there, boys. | |

Good job there, boys. Hey, I'm not a chicken little type, and think Al Gore and many others are alarmists to a degree, but those last 150 years have been pretty damn different than the millions that preceded them. To my rather limited mind, it seems pretty unlikely that the messes we create on a daily basis aren't fucking up the planet somehow. Is the result of this global warming? I don't know, maybe that is all just normal cycles, but we gotta be screwing something up. Previous generations were far more respectful of the planet. For example, renewable energy in cars? Not new, and here is the evidence... and that's all I have to say about that. :woohoo:
