OK...Well...like...nobody was using it. Perhaps you noticed? Why keep it up? When someone approaches you to take a sinking ship off your hands, you take it. Seriously. It had turned into a money pit. It really is as simple as that.

It also allowed all the stuff that was good over to still be around. Because if we had canned it, as we were planning. It would have gone down the intertubes.

First, let me say that I really am glad you are here. I know that this is not the site that you had envisioned when you first set up ROGUEfood, but, quite frankly, I don't think ROGUEfood was, either. It surely isn't now. Either way, while we still kept periodically in touch via email or flickr, I know that this site is a better place with your presence (at least until i95 says something stupid and chases you away.... where's that ticking time bomb smiley face?).

Still, I really do wish you had let our previous work flow off down the river that is the lost Internets. I would much rather have it nowhere than in the hands of that oversized fuckstick (still lurking around over here??? fyou ). The rules posted on YOUR web site clearly stated that the poster "owned" what they wrote. His rules say that he owns what everyone writes. Again, I would much rather have whatever gems I concocted float off into the abyss than be under his control. When we spoke back in December, the word was that you guys were just going to let things die. If I had known that there would be a change in ownership - and who that ownership would be - I would have deleted all of MY work, my photos, etc.

I'm really not trying to pick a fight - I swear. Further, I don't want to make this out to be any kind of headhunt - I really mean it when I say that I am glad you are here - and surely don't want you to go. But, I really do wish you had sent an email to the group telling folks that there was a change coming - new ownership - and really even who that new ownership would be. We could have then taken appropriate (and perhaps different) action knowing that a change had been made from letting the site just die. Instead, I have subsequently been banned from THAT SITE for something I said on THIS site (which I still stand by, by the way).

Anyway...it's off my chest. I promise I am done with that topic. You won't hear about it from me again.

WORK? You call what you did over there work? Who do you think you are, Hemmingway?

You nitwits drove every decent person away from the site until it became the same as this wasteland. And you used your friendship with the site owners to get away with it.

What the fuck are you doing here?

Hey big fella, don't be so tough on yourself, I never said sophomoric.

No, you are too lame to enjoy MY participation here. I am very sure YOU enjoy YOUR participation here, very sure. But this is about what you clowns did at RGF, isn't it? And the childish grudges that you still cling to.

Hey, you guys want to bust my balls, have at it. But again, stop the freakin crying when it comes back to you, "Oh, what are you doing here". Again, I was invited by youse guys.

And another thing, this "defense"...

Billy Heff wrote:

...always make me think of one of two things:

(1) law enforcement creating an elaborate "YOU'VE WON A HIGH-DEF TV!" rouse by which they invite parole violators to a single, set-up location followed by cops summarily arresting said "invited" perps;

(a) and the scene in "It's a Wonderful Life" when, in the fictional "Pottersville," Nick the bartender "invites" the ol' drunk Mr. Gower in just to spray the "old rummy" with seltzer water (much to the amusement of Nick's bar patrons).

The inherent hazards of an "invitation," I'd say.

Hey Click, Since we are talking Roguefood here, maybe you want to publish your PM's where your begged(with a tear in your eye) to be allowed back on the site. Sorry to have to rip your head off and piss down your throat. But you did ask for it.

Billy, I don't really have a favorite horse in this race (but I am secretly hoping there aren't too many more laps in the race), but a question comes to mind...

Perhaps you are right...we are holding grudges against roguefood's new owner, and maybe that is childish. I still think it is weird the guy took over a site he said to me many times he didn't like, full of people he spoke poorly of, (and then locked out the majority of those people), and even took on a bunch of people as moderators that he had said in past he didn't like, but hey, its his site and he is the internets expert.

The question is why are you even concerned with what grudges we might harbor toward him in this matter. The guy kind of treated you like a tool as well...didn't he? Why are you almost acting as his defense team here?

I really feel like I should let the easy ones go....but, since you asked....

It is because he is the Great Defender of All the Downtrodden. It is his singular role to contribute nothing else of value, but to stick his unwelcome neck into the middle of any situation where he simply doesn't fucking belong. As you point out, in many of those instances, he knows just enough of the facts to make things dangerous. The problem is there is often more than meets the eye. but, the Great Defender of All of the Downtrodden cannot be concerned with such details.

As far as laps to go, I am not the one holding the checkered flag.

Come on Georgie, Dangerous? My hamburger is better than your hamburger? Me thinks you play on the internet too much.

Again, it's not about the downtrodden, let Bruce Springsteen help them. I enjoy sticking it to you.

Hey, Baron of Boredom, only to counter your above delusions (as well as sent, what, over a year after last posting on RogueFood and, like Independent George, only in attempt to access previously made posts [versus making new ones -- you know, because I was just crying to Rolling Eyes ]) here with only the e-mail addresses removed are said unedited PMs posted in their entirety:

As a RogueFood member from the beginning, I've not been able to log-in as of late. In fact and when attempting to do so via my current passcode, this is the message I receive:

Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why
you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

Am I doing so incorrectly? Do I need to re-register following RogueFood's recent "change"? Thanks.

Nothing, nothing at all.

Oh, so you just wanted to edit your work, Mr Twain.

For such a boring guy, I sure lit up this site, eh.

For a bunch of ball busters, you guys don't take it very well. It's been 5 against 1 ever since I joined here, and all I see is a bunch of cry babies. I hope I don't get another letter from the Principal.

Lord, you're dense. Two simple points:

(1) No one is viewing their posts made either here, TOS of TOOS as "work." In fact, above, I used the exact words above of "access(ing) previously made posts" so as to obtain previously posted food reviews, photos, addresses, etc.

(2) And your claiming that "it's been 5 against 1 ever since I joined here" compounded with your continual use of the word "NEXT" in ending your posts (you know, because your wit is so sharp that you're just hungry to take on all contenders Rolling Eyes ) is simply demonstrative that your ego is writing checks your body can't cash.

Two more things:

(a)
Billy Heff wrote:

(b) And just so at least I'm clear (and, trust me, I don't in any way run or administer this site), I don't care if you go. I don't care if you stay. I don't care about some beef you clearly have with a number of posters on this site. I don't care what spillover ruckus you've had with Angus McRib, Indpendent George or others on other sites and which you've seen fit to import here. In summary, I don't care.

That said, your tack to-date on this site has appeared to many as being belligerent at best and downright truculent at worst. Just an FYI that such a strategy is either failing miserably or -- and unless your satisfied with your piss parade -- succeeding beyond your wildest and franly limited imagination.
