| The official statement that accompanied this news made me laugh. What a bunch of new age horseshit.
“We have agreed to a trial separation that dates back for some time. The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage. We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply. As we go though this process we are determined to use kindness and understanding to get through this together. We are comfortable with the boundaries that we have established for each other during this separation and we hope that our friends, family, fans and the media also show us respect, dignity, understanding and love at this time as well. David Arquette and Courteney Cox”

now he can go back to not having a career, and she can go back to her love affair with jennifer anniston. I know that this thread has since descended into the usual round of mockery, for which I am grateful, but did anyone happen to hear Arquette on Howard Stern? I don't mean the clips that other shows have played that took sound bites and made him sound like an ass - but, the original airing on Stern's show? I kind of feel bad for the guy. I don't know why, but I picture Courtney Cox as this really uptight bitch (kind of like her character on "Six People Living Way Above Their Means"). She told him on their 11th anniversary that she "didn't want to be his mother anymore." It really sounded like Arquette was this funny (if perhaps a bit immature) guy who she "molded" into a Stepford husband, but he never really bought into it - he wanted to ride motorcycles and get tattoos and what not - and she would never let him. Then, she says I am not going to mother you - and he gets a motorcycle (she gave it to him) and a new tattoo - and she gets pissed. Anyway, I heard him call in and I really felt bad for the guy. He sounded like he was really upset - both that he is not with his bitchy wife and that the media has made him out to be this pussy-hungry man-whore, when he never cheated on his wife. OK...now back to your regularly scheduled mockery...

Yeah. And when he's calling in sick because he has cramps. Strap back on your unit, son. Honestly, it would probably be less than a standard ten-count after clothier should ever say that his wife was divorcing him before, at least, one of us would inquire whether now would be a good time to swing by Casa Clothier to pick-up that half-filled box of Magnum condoms we left under his wife's nightstand. In other words: You guys are a bunch of dicks. I think it's great that George has grown a vagina. He probably did it to celebrate pink ribbon month or whatever.
