It was just like this. (Click here for the studio version of the same.) Very Fleshtones-like. Very old. But fun, nonetheless. Cool

I don't know what it says about me in admitting that I REALLY like this song. If it means that I'm a simpleton, than so be it. Cool

Oh and on an UNrelated note, Husker Du's great and seminal tune "Don't Want to Know if You're Lonely" (covered here by The Catherine Wheel 'cause I can't find a postable copy done by (now DC DJ) Bob Mould's old group anywhere) is prominently featured in the new (and so-so) Adventureland movie. Cool

The song is new to me, but I like it too. Sadly, my getting on your bus only increases the odds of you being a simpleton.

That is a great song. Green Day did a nice cover of it as well...but I can't find that online either.

There was a day when I attended music shows almost every weekend, but these days my attendance at such shows is rare.

I did, however, catch Colin Hay at a small "arts center". He was magnificent. A one man show...just him and four guitars. He is quite entertaining as both a musician and a story teller. He did a great version of this song...which is his life story condensed into 4 minutes and change.

A friend of mine and I once saw Colin Hay at a small venue in DC. I was standing to the left of the stage and my buddy to the right. Funny thing is we each thought Mr. Hay was looking right at us. cyclops

Oh, man, that's another "oldie-but-a-goody" -- as in the era of early 90s / "Jerry Was a Race Car Driver," yes?

Yes...same era...Jerry was a racecar driver was Primus, who I liked a lot. I also liked Wynona's Big Brown Beaver...the words I can live without, but the music is outstanding.

I like Cake...both the band and the dessert. This is another good Cake tune...

The lyrics really say something. I have no idea what, but it must be something.
