Not really:

I've heard of a guy being dead funny, but never funny dead.

FWIW, he was a very funny guy, with enormous stage freight - which only exacerbated his drinking. We hired him here on campus, and he was blitzed when he arrived - performed his show- took his check - and his driver took him back to his hotel. The end.

When he was on, he was ON...but, he apparently had a very difficult time relating to people when he wasn't stoned/drunk.

The comedian referenced above is Mitch Hedberg.

I loved the guy. One of the best dead ones going. Although Richard Pryor, George Carlin or Bill Hicks are pretty good too.

All the good ones are dead.

Dennis Wolfberg was really good...although that delivery could get on your nerves after a while.
