(PEOPLE.com) -- Dr. Frank Ryan, plastic surgeon to Heidi Montag and other celebrities, was sending a Twitter message about his border collie just before his fatal car accident, his ex-girlfriend tells PEOPLE.
"He lived up in Malibu on a tiny street and he was texting while driving and he accidentally went over the cliff," Charmaine Blake says.
Blake, a celebrity publicist, says Ryan's family was told by investigators that the Tweeting caused the wreck on Monday.
The dog, whose name is Jill -- Blake's middle name -- was in the car at the time of the crash and survived injuries to the head, eye and paw.

That dog is typing. There is no proof that the dog is typing something that was previously dictated to him/her.

Perhaps a technicality but I must grant you your point. Although the dog does appear to be transcribing notes from a dictaphone machine there is no iron-clad evidence that the dog can take dictaction.

A better question might be what kind of fucked up company does the dog work for that hasn't upgraded to computers yet?

Listen jerky, if a dog can type he can most certainly take dictation. Sure the messages may be limited to concepts he understands...like sit, beg, rollover, stop humping my leg...but it is dictation none the less. Sometimes it seems you take great joy in debunking my theories. That is mean.
