I Love Management

As is abundantly clear, we lost the original web address, name, posts, and most members.

It appears this is related to a complaint made to the folks that run these forums that this particular group was violating the terms of service. I was curtly informed that the forum would be deleted. No warnings as they said there were "multiple violations".

Upon hearing of the impending shutdown I saved some member info but not all, and no messages.

Apparently the complaints were related to conversations deemed "racist and hateful". No specific references were provided.

This is a free forum, and their tolerance seems low, so please keep the conversations suitable and free from "racist and hateful" things. I was allowed to start up again, but I believe we are on a short leash.

Had to? Not sure if was me exclusively, but I did complain that most of the threads had turned racist and anti-gay. I just said that I was leaving the site due to it. The decision to close it was not mine (obviously) and I'm glad that it's back up with the new rules. There is more than enough to discuss w/o resorting to the bashing of others based on color and or creed, don't you think?
However, if you feel a need to poke fun at blacks, Asians, Arabs, and gays I'm sure there are forums that would welcome it.

My "had to" comment was not meant as a dig against anyone who took offense to what had gone on. I meant I was sorry some couldn't keep away from such topics and I therefore felt I "had to" write something that I figured would be obvious to most.
