The little woman and I are heading for Cigarfest 09 in the Poconos.
Goddess, tonights dinner will feature a crab pasta that apparently was inspired by a recipe of yours after a massive antipasta spread.
Plus: Kentucky Buttermilk Cake.

| Cigarfest was at Split Rock Resort on Lake Harmony, just east of Hazleton. The crab pasta was good. Crab, garlic, red pepper flakes, lots of lemon. Anitpasta spread was just that, a big spread; lots of cheese, olive, bread, meat. Didn't get around to grilled veggies but thats fine, there was already way too much. http://projects.washingtonpost.com/recipes/2008/04/30/kentucky-buttermilk-cake/This is a tremendous recipe. Dense, poundcake like. Fantastic with berries and fresh whipped cream. Definitely recommended. It was a drizzly weekend, but there were brief touches of summer. And lots and lots of cigars. | |
