That's pretty small world as I have now just missed seeing ol' Hinson twice the last two times he played Vienna, Virginia's Jammin Java club (and where they sell mutton chop fake sideburns during the show). Next time!

If it helps any -- and as a modest substitute -- this guy is playing at Arlington, Virginia's Iota Club this Father's Day:

Just to show you that you can pack more live music into a single season, I caught both this artist the weekend before last in D.C....
...and this one at a great lunchtime setting in Annapolis, Maryland yesterday (and before his larger gig that same evening opening up for Coldplay at Nissan Pavilion in Virginia)...
Rock-on.

Indeed. And for a top-secret performance of the aforementioned at noon. Tres cool.
P.S. How 'bout them Blue Angels this past Tuesday in Maryland's state capital? I thought they were simply astonishing.

I've never seen an act at Rams Head, but I've heard it's a great venue.
The annoying jets have been buzzing around all week. Too much damned hoopla over a bunch of navy sissies.
Thanks for your contribution to our gridlock this week.
Fucktard.

Actually, on Tuesday, I had left the town pre-noon and before the apparent invasion by these guys:
I still think what I did see of their flyovers, it was pretty darn cool.

BTW, here's a great visual capturing of this week's "assault on Annapolis."

I'm going to start planning some anti-commisioning week activites. Grilled goat will be a big part of the fun.

I thought you conservatives love that ear drum splitting drone of military supremacy.

Nah m'brother. Haven't you heard about the Change? We don't need those noisy planes, we're going to engage in discourse.
Hey, didjya hear about the Iranian missile test this week?
Those wacky Iranians.

So another pointless, expensive war? OK, I guess that could distract us from the terrible job... Hey wait a minute.

Give me a call when you are in NY and they decide to an Air Force One look-a-like flyover photo-op. The whole city gets paralyzed - and you see - what I can only imagine to be - something akin to those who suffer from 'Nam flashbacks.

The Navy, and the Air Force. They're just friggin rude.
The Army's got all kinds of big, loud, potentially annoying toys, and they play with them way the hell out in the middle of nowhere where it won't bother anyone or cause aging vets to soil themselves.
You're welcome.
