| Somebody needs a friend...or a hug...or a PUNCH IN THE FUCKING HEAD!
Does somebody pay this asshole for coming up with shit like this?
On another note, my buddy just called me from Dusseldorf. He asked if I knew what he wanted to do first when he got into town. Too easy....Blow up a ball bearing plant! |

Hold your horses! Or stop the train! Or whatever it is we usually say when we are shocked. I fully agree with the Heffster on this one. This article is self-indulgent bullshit. Taken down to it's barest essence everything sounds stupid: Moby Dick - Old fisherman in small boat chases huge whale. Golf - Man with a crooked stick hits a little ball and then when he finds it he hits it again. I'm sure that the Korean War was no laugh riot but M*A*S*H was a brilliant (and often very funny) TV show using the Korean conflict as a backdrop.

| Stop the clock!
I agree with the article at issue. I felt like opening a vein nearly every time I saw Scott Baio and that damn full house show shit out John Stamos and the Olsen twins, leaving those stains on the bowl for us to deal with for years and years.
I am depressed just thinking about it.

| I don't disagree that most of the shows cited in the article sucked. They certainly did.........but shitty writing in sitcoms is more the norm than the exception.
It was the way the writer tried to connect the dots to his bullshit concept of these shows having "depressing premises" that irked me.

It was the fact that many of the actors were talentless douchebags yet got wealthy that made me depressed. I too am a talentless douchebag, where is my bankroll?
