I've never really gotten the whole crab thing. For the money I'd rather pick up some high end beef product.
I do like the occasional crab cake, that's about if for me.
Old Bay is also a wildly inappropriate and overpowering seasonning for crab in my humble opinion. Great on fries, and chicken though.

Combs? What combs? I used a wooden mallet when I had the crabs.
I use a nutcracker when I am eating hard shell crabs.
