As wedding bells clanged for same-sex unions for the first time in Vermont today, Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream ignored the "who will change his name" debate and just went ahead and did it. The ice cream flavor formerly known as "Chubby Hubby" has a new married name: "Hubby Hubby," in support of all the newly married couples.

Don't expect to see pints in your grocer's freezer today: like all change, sometimes it's slow in coming (labels will take up to 18 months to reflect the shift.)

Since the Ben & Jerry's folks are all about equality, I'm surprised that they haven't introduced a flavor to celebrate Vermont's new Wife/Wife duos. Can new flavors "Vaginal Vanilla" and/or "Strap-on Strawberry" be far behind?
