And certainly won't get him invited along on Clothier's upcoming baloon expedition.

It would definitely be unwise for clothier to invite that "prick" on his trip.

Good. I thought it was a little creepy when he tried to "make it" with Marty at the Rydell High dance.

sorry, i was at the funeral parlor helping his kids to plan the service.

we decided to not do his bit about sending in the green pieces of paper, but we are going to do a riff ont he old chuckles the clown bit. you know it, a little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down my pants? kinda like that, but with a pie in the face. you'll see it on tv when you tune in to watch the funeral on monday. it's going to be live on regis and kelly, and shown later, on tape, on Oprah. O (that's what her friends call her, O) was just beside herself when she heard the news. O says Soupy was the greatest influence on her career and her life.

I though their slogan was It takes a tough man to make a tender suit.

Am I wrong?

This snippet from clothier's post is a bit ironic/prophetic since legendary sitcom writer David Lloyd, who penned the "Chuckles Bites The Dust" episode of "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" along with numerous other MTM episodes plus many for "The Bob Newhart Show", "Taxi", "Cheers", "Frasier", etc. died last week. Although you probably didn't even know that this guy existed, I guarantee he was responsible for making you laugh very hard numerous times in your life. When you think about it, can there be much better legacy than that??????

I read about him earlier in the week and was amazed at how many great shows he was a part of. Amazing how all the big stars, like Herschel Bernardi or Abe Vigoda get all the glory, when it is really guys like this doing the heavy lifting in the back rooms. I salute and thank you David Lloyd!

I really enjoyed that dopey show. It is funny that MTV has almost become an afterthought to kids these days, yet when these goofy shows were on it was hot stuff. Wonder if anyone notices?
